Flat Twist Out/ Adjusting Failed styles/8 year old's Natural Hair

BloggerImage My go-to one-day hairstyle is Flat Twist Out. She usually wears this at the end of the week, just a day before wash day. Her hair is only kept out for a day. This is one of the reasons she is retaining length since her hair is kept in protective styles most times.
I usually use Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai twisting butter to set her Flat Twists. That stuff keeps her hair  so soft. I usually top that with my DIY cream for extra sealing. My DIY cream has Aloe Vera gel in it so this keeps her cuticles sealed because of the low pH that AV has.BloggerImageBloggerImage

I usually put her hair in about ten flat twists and bantu-knot the ends, as shown above because I hate straight ends on Flat Twist out. It just looks better when the ends are curled. The twist are done on dry hair. Well, I start with dry hair and it becomes slightly damp when I apply products. The flat twists are kept overnight and released the next day.

Failed Flat Twist Out:

Well, it turned out to be a beautiful style. Her Flat Twist was not dry in the back so I had to leave it as it is. I re-installed a flat twist on one side and connected the end to the one that did not dry in the back, hence this side flat twist and twist-out style.
I thought it looked gorgeous on her but she did not like it. It's a good thing for her that she only wore the style for a few hours.
