Twist and Trim

Although I do not care about growing long hair, I do not want thin and tangled ends either. So I noticed that my ends were getting tangled a lot. That would be because my hair has been out all summer. I have not  styled my hair in a protective style since April. That's because I  have enjoyed wearing my hair out.

I usually trim my hair about three times a year anyway but this time around, I put my hair in small twists. This allowed for an even and complete trim throughout my hair.

My problem area is my crown, which I trimmed off generously. My hair grows in layers anyway, so it's okay that the crown area is shorter than the rest of my hair.

My plan is to wear these twists for at least two weeks. I know that in the past, I complained about experiencing breakage from leaving my hair in mini twists. Well my regimen for mini or small twists have changed. I realize that my hair gets matted and detangling it, leads to breakage. I re-twist once a week. I still  do not have the boldness or a safe way to wash (cowash) the twists. I have decided to keep the twists for only two weeks, after which my hair would be washed.

Oh, and I have to mention that I used one of my old favorite products, Jane Cater Solution Lock and Twist Cream. Love it!!!!!
