In Review:Sweet Nature by Eddie

Company's Claim
"Nourish your scalp, Stimulate your follicles, Strengthen and Hydrate your Hair"

I was sent products by Eddie of Sweet Nature by Eddie to try and review. Prior to being sent the products, I had never heard of that company and I really don't understand why as this lady makes some fantastic products.

Background Information about the company
The brain behind this company  is Eddie. According to Eddie, She suffered from devastating effects of severe hair loss due to toxic chemicals and mishandling her hair. Eddie decided to create her own hair care product line after many years of undergoing treatments and purchasing every product that claimed it would grow her hair back, but did not. And so, this setback inspired the creation of "Sweet Nature by Eddie.

Company's Claim:
Sweet Nature by Eddie is made with nutrient-rich, moisturizing butters, carrier oils, and herbs proven to treat alopecia, psoriasis, dermatitis, and dandruff, as well as block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone, is a male sex hormone, an androgen. 5α-reductase, an enzyme, synthesizes DHT in the adrenal glands, hair follicles, testes and prostate. Male and female adults can lose hair as a consequence of changes in the metabolism of androgen in the body - men more commonly than women. DHT plays a major role in hair loss.

The products made by Sweet Nature by Eddie nourish the scalp, combat hair loss and stimulate the follicles for longer, stronger, healthier hair growth. Eddie's mission is to provide an alternative to products that contain hazardous ingredients, by enriching her products with the healthiest, most beneficial ingredients. Her products are for Relaxed and Natural Hair.

Her products are Paraben, Mineral Oil and Petrolatum free.

I also have a video review coming up soon

Love Deep Conditioner:

Company's Claim:
"Detangling will be a breeze with this thick and creamy conditioner. Love is packed with hydrating, nutrient rich oils and raw honey, which will soften the hair and fight hair loss while the silk amino protein will work to strengthen each strand. The tingling sensation of the peppermint oil will awaken your scalp stimulating blood flow and promoting growth."

Ingredients:
Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol (Derived from Coconut Oil), Raw Honey, Avocado Oil, , Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Silk Amino Protein, Peppermint Oil

Quick Info:
pH: 4.5
Consistency:Thick and creamy
Fragrance: Pepperminty

Review:
This conditioner is meant for deeply hydrating the hair. When I first applied it, it did not have any slip. I did not think that it was going to work for me. However, after sitting under the dryer for about 20 minutes, my hair was completely transformed. My hair felt soft and it was very easy to run my fingers through my hair.  My scalp felt awakened  due to the peppermint.

I really loved the way my scalp felt afterwards. I will definitely purchase this product. It is very effective. I also love the fact that it has silk amino protein, which is great for strengthening. My  fragile fine hair can use that every so often.

Inspiration Shampoo:

Company's Claim:
"Paraben Free, Gluten Free and SLS Free. This shampoo will leave the hair clean, but not stripped of all its natural oils. It is infused with 6, nutrient rich, carrier oils and raw honey that will keep the hair hydrated and soft. This is an excellent body wash."

Ingredients:
Purified Water, Decyl Clucoside (Derived from Sweet Orange), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Derived from Coconuts), Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid (Fruit Acids), Raw Honey, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Wheat germ Oil, Olive Oil and Fragrance Oil

Quick Info:
pH:5.0
Consistency: Runny
Fragrance:Sweet/ Vanilla

Review:
This shampoo lathered like it had sulfate in it. It, however, did not tangle up my hair like some previously-used shampoos. My hair almost felt squeaky clean but not dry and tangly. It did not have any negative effects on me scalp. It did clean my hair and scalp very well. My hair did not shrink up and tangle. Shampoos usually do this to my hair, even the non-sulfate ones. I don't see any reason why I would not buy this again. I have no issues with this product at all.

Dream Creamy Moisturizer:

Company's claim:
"This is a super creamy, hydrating moisturizer packed with numerous natural butters such as Shea, cocoa and mango! It also has many nourishing oils as well as organic aloe vera juice. Dream is excellent for relaxed hair or natural hair and every skin type as well."

Ingredients: Spring Water, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Aloe Vera Juice, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil, Wheat germ Oil, Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Fragrance Oil.

Quick Info:
pH: 4.5
Consistency: Thick and Creamy
Fragrance: Chocolate

Review:
This product is a moisturizer and I can honestly say that it does moisturize effectively. My ends curled up easily, which, I am sure, is due to the low pH of the product. It does have a slight hold, so I would double this up as a moisturizer and styler, especially for fine hair. I found the product to be not greasy at all, however, it does not readily absorb into the hair. It could be my hair and/or the Beeswax in it. I had to wait for about 8 hours for the white residue to completely disappear. That can be annoying if this product is used shortly before one goes outside. I would suggest moisturizing or styling your hair with this the night before, to allow the product to completely absorb into the hair.

This is one of those products that you do not see the effect right away (at least for my hair). Once it settles in your hair, you would see the full effect. It moisturizes and softens the hair effectively. I will definitely buy this product and highly recommend it.

Wisdom Heavy Moisturizer

Company's Claim:
"This is a heavy moisturizer with Shea butter and cocoa butter as its primary ingredients. Aloe vera gel, mango butter, and an array of several nutrient rich oils are combined to deliver the needed hydration to keep the hair soft. This moisturizer also has a very slight hold and is excellent for braiding, twisting and coiling the hair. It’s also an amazing body butter for rough dry skin."

Ingredients
Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Purified Water, Organic Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Wheat germ Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Fragrance Oil

Quick Info:
Consistency: Very Heavy butter. Must emulsify before use
Fragrance:Chocolate

Review:
Okay, I am not too crazy about this one. It was way too heavy for my hair. It left a white residue that took forever to disappear. It is also very hard to work with. You have to take the time to emulsify the product before applying it. It reminds me of Shea butter that has not been softened with carrier oils. It does have a medium hold, hence it's great for styling.

I started to do my finger coils with this product, in the back of my head, where my texture is curly, and it worked great shaping my coils, but once I got to the areas with the 4c texture, styling my hair was like having a camel go through a needle. I know that is a bit exaggerating but it was extremely difficult to use the product on 4c texture.

However, I used it for a braid out to achieve a big Afro and it worked perfectly on my hair.  I am thinking it's great for certain styles and does not work for some. It also dries clear eventually once it is completely absorbed into the hair. It did not provide any shine for my hair and did not feel oily. The company says that it doubles as a body and hair moisturizer. I have not used it on my body so I cannot provide a review in that aspect. I believe for thicker hair, this would work great due to the natural butters in it.

Growth Detangling Spray:

Company's Claim:
"This multi-purpose spray can be used as to detangle the hair, as a moisturizing braid spray, a scalp energizer and a general moisturizer. It will not only leave the hair quenched, soft and unbelievably manageable, but the Aloe Vera will assist in healthy blood flow while delivering nutrients to the follicles."

Ingredients:
Aloe Vera Juice, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Wheat germ oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Gotu Kola, Saw Palmetto, Nettles Blend, Horsetail, and Fragrance Oil

Quick Info:
pH: 4.0
Consistency: Watery
Fragrance: light herbal fragrance

Review:
I love any product that makes my scalp feel energized and this product does that. It makes my scalp feel pepperminty. It is not sticky at all. If you want to get the full effect with this product, apply it, then cover your hair with a plastic cap for  a few minutes. When I did this, my hair was left so soft, and it does help with detangling. So, this a moisturizer with growth-aide  and scalp-stimulating ingredients, which is the reason I would purchase again. It is a great daily moisturizer but I feel like there are so many products on the market that provide that benefit. However, the ingredients are superb and that's what it make it stand out from the other light watery moisturizers.

In general, Sweet Eddie by Nature, in my opinion, makes a great line of products that are very beneficial for restoring and promoting one's hair growth potential and  hydrating the hair . These are very important and more so, than products, with basic ingredient, that make our hair look fabulous instantly. Don't get me wrong, we want our hair to look  fabulous but it is very important that our scalp be healthy to allow our hair to grow to its full potential. I believe that Sweet Eddie by Nature covers that important aspect vastly.
