Sunday Hair/Rod Set on Medium Sized Twists

Okay, so I had not set my twists on rods in like three years. My hair was much shorter when I did.  I have been loving roller setting these days and decided to use rods, even though I knew my hair would appear much shorter. I just wanted a different look.

I set my medium-sized twists on the rods of the size shown above. My hair was clarified, hennaed, deep conditioned and moisturized before setting my hair. I used the Shea moisture Yucca line to condition and moisturize my hair.. I then applied OBIA Curl enhancing custard to my ends for a more defined look.

I let my hair air-dry overnight and untwisted the next day. I did more separation with this set as my curls were tighter and had no body. I pinned up the back because I wanted that look.

What about you? Have you tried Rod set?

  4. Love it, especially the pinned up back. (You know I'm a sucker for updos.)

I guess my version of the rod set is using Lock Loops, which I rock all the time.
