With all the protective styles Little L's hair has been in, I had forgotten the ease at which this style can be achieved. She sat on my lap, watching Doc McStuffins, while I was twisting her hair. It took me literally a little less than one hour to put her in hair in two strand twists.
Although, I love and prefer protective styles especially for her ends, I think I will be styling her hair like this for this month. I really enjoyed not having to spend almost a whole day styling her hair.
I used Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie to twist her hair. I liked the results as her hair was airy and bouncy. I did not like the product initially but it does well for certain things like twists and twist out.
I have learned not to wash two strand twists on fine hair, so I will not be washing these. In fact, I will not spray water products (these tangle up the twists as well and cause massive breakage). I use Shea moisture Yucca and Baobab thickening growth milk to moisturize her twists, especially the ends. We are keeping them for only two weeks, so her hair can be washed.
