Quick Hairstyle using Marley Hair

I have always wanted to use Marley hair for an Updo but had issues with uneven length, however, after watching this video, I think I gained some confidence to do something with Marley hair...LOL. I   loved how quickly it is to achieve this style. Not only that, those with short hair can have the same hairstyle too. Watch the video to see how.

This is the hair she used in the video.

It looks much softer than the Marley hair I used for my current hairstyle,

 which is very rough.

I think that hairstyle makes a great short term protective style. What do you think?

Thanks for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions, please contact me at coilybella@coilybella.com.

  1. I like how she separated her hair into two pony tails and later combined them together. My hair doesn't lay like that, it's too thick at the bottom.
I tried this style once with a small quantity of expressions hair, and it looked lighter and sort of real! lol.
When are you going to try the style?

    1. This is why I love this video because people with short hair can try Buns too.

  3. Can't wait to see your results. I like how she managed to make the ponytails work although her hair isn't that long. Doing two smaller ones was a great idea.

You already know I'm a bun fanatic, so this is too cute to me. Not too hot about the different textures, but I think she did a good job.

    1. That is going to be my next challenge. I love Buns too. I have just never been able to style my hair in a bun.

      Gotta love this fine hair!

  4. I recently in the last two weeks been doing buns as a protective style using Marley hair.Due to the length and not wanting to put undue tension, I use two ponytails. I have found that throughout the week I have to re moisturize and gel, but it's no problem. I love love love the vid. My question is: how long should you wear a bun? One week? two weeks?

    1. I, myself have never worn a bun. However, there is no rule about how long any protective style should be worn. If wearing a bun for one week works for you, with daily pampering, then do what works for you. But why are you using gel? Most gels have hydrolysed protein which can lead to protein overload, so be careful with that. There are so many products, besides gel that you can use to smoothen your hair. Try Obi Naturals. I am going to do a review on their curling custard very soon, which I highly recommend for slick styles and "wash and go"
