Hair of the day/Mini Twists

It's more like Hair of the week.

So I needed a break from daily styling and  threw my hair in some twists. I was also inspired by vee of The Hodgepodge Files. Check out her beautiful twists here
On the day of styling, I used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie on damp hair, which I loooooove for twists. I sealed the ends with Jojoba oil.
Maintenance:I decided to just use a mix of water and oil to moisturize them daily, as anything heavier would accumulate  as build up especially at the roots. On the ends, I use Shea Moisture Growth Milk for fine hair. I also stretch them with the threading method at night to keep the ends stretched. I may wash them once before I take them down. If I do, I will be using Naptural85's method of washing two strand twists for the very first time. This method, I hope, will eliminate tangles, frizzzes and matted roots (I get those every time I wash my twists) I am planning to keep these till the end of the month, which is 12 days from now..

  1. Hi CoilyBella,
Something I also use to eliminate tangles is to moisturize or aloe vera juice with water then apply a little aloe vera gel to the length of the twist and seal the ends with a tad bit of oil. That process also gives a great shine to your twists as well.

    1. Thank you:)
I have come to realize that I have to stay away from washing my twists to avoid tangles. I may try the stocking cap method, if it works, then Halleluyah:)

  2. Your twists look great! How long did it take for you to put the twists in?

  3. They look great! The Castor oil is working sis, your hair has thickened up a lot. I may have to try the threading method because braiding them causes the pattern to get too crinkly. ☺ PS: Thanks for the shout out ☺

    1. I actually like the shea moisture for fine hair line. But I am parting ways with a lot of the products I use as I am detoxifying my hair now. Thanks for the comment.
