Sunday Hair: Bantu Knot out/ Curly Fro

Hey Bellas,

This was my hairstyle for Easter Sunday. I loved it. I really love the Afro styles on me.
I wanted tiny curls, so I made  a lot of Bantu Knots
you can see the thread hanging

I set the Bantu Knots on wet hair and because I wanted to avoid frizzes, that a lot of people seem to have setting their hair wet, I threaded each section to stretch my hair.

My hair was set overnight. The next day, I robbed a little bit of olive oil in my hands and carefully unraveled the thread and the knots. I separated each section until my hair looked full enough.

Stay tuned for the video tutorial.

  3. WOW! your hair looks very full and luscious. I think i'll try threading instead of twisting for a more defined bantu knot-out. I only tried the style once, and i didn't achieve any curl. Infact, I never achieve any "out" style overnight. The hair always needs at least 24hrs. Hope you had a really nice Easter Service.

    1. Hey sis,
I found out that using the thread stretches the hair better and helps with twirling the hair around the knots made. Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised:)
