Product Review: Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste

...... A Sculpting Shine Pomade.

Ingredients:Water, Ceteareth-25, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Isostearyl Isostearate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl, Ascorbate, Passion Fruit Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Hydroxyptopyltrimonium, Hydrolyzed Maize Starch, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Description:  This product reminds me of jam. It is very thick in consistency. It is sticky too. It smells like vanilla, coconut and fruit all mixed together (smells yummy). It comes in a small jar that holds 4 fl oz of the product. It costs only $9 and can be purchased at Target and Sally's Beauty Supply.

What it does: Well, as per the company, it slicks down unruly edges, tames frizzes and add shine.

How to use: Use it on wet or dry hair

My Thoughts/Review:
Well, let me just say that this product and I are never going to part if it is God's will. I looove this product. It does all those three things the company claims it does. Check out my "wash and Go" video below to see how it rectified my "wash and go" fail.
I prefer using it on wet or damp hair though. On dry hair, it makes the hair a little too sticky, as a matter of fact, it is too strong on dry hair. I feel that it needs to be mixed with water (meaning wet hair) to work effectively. It is so concentrated that very little goes a long way. It adds a lot of shine to my hair and it is great for slicking the edges for puffs, updos, ponytails and such... If you are into "defining curls", this is the business for you.
Little L has a lot of new growth in the mid section of  the back of her hair, I used the paste to slick down the new growth. and it lasted all day!!

My hair tends to be frizzy especially in the front where it is the thinnest, this paste
helped tremendously  with the frizzes.

As indicated above, I will buy this again..it works great for my hair. I HIGHLY recommend this for the summer, this is a true "frizz buster".

  3. I love the Control paste! You're right I prefer it on wet hair. If I'm slicking my edges when doing a dry puff I always spritz then with water :)
