Minimizing Breakage Series"Comprehensive Conditioner Coverage"

Oftentimes, we have breakage in the canopy area (crown and middle areas) of our head due to the elements and limitations of our physique. It can be challenging to reach the crown area of our heads and as a result, that area do not receive adequate conditioning.

There is a method I use which is similar to the relaxer application method. In the book. The Science of Black Hair" by Audrey Davis- Sivasothy, this method is called the"Comprehensive Conditioning Coverage (CCC). This method is very detailed and ensures a maximum conditioner coverage, so that even the hard-to-reach areas get covered with conditioner too. In this method, the hair is finger parted at about 1-inch intervals. then conditioner is applied along the section, from tip to root (unlike relaxer, which is applied only to the roots). With this method, every strand is bound to be bathed in conditioner, reducing breakage in your most fragile areas.
