Moisturizing Conditioner Bath: Step 3 on How to Get Moisture Drenched Hair
The third step in the process where you have an opportunity to add moisture to your hair is during your conditioning treatment.
- Rinse your hair of the shampoo. It should feel soft and moist, not gummy or sticky or roughened.
- Pour out or scoop out your favorite conditioner. Add a tablespoon of oil to the conditioner.
- Place the conditioner on top of the braided hair or your loosened hair and work it through your hair.
- Detangle the hair and rinse. Keep collecting data and information with your hands, about your hair. Pay attention to how your hair feels to your hands at every step of the way.
Caution: At any point in this process you may encounter a product that is not right for YOUR hair. That's why it is important to do the "feel test" after each step in your wash day routine. Your hair may feel great up until you condition it and then feel like straw after the conditioner. That may mean the conditioner product you have chosen to use for your conditioner is not good for your hair at this point in time. Swap it out and try something else. You are literally building your hair routine step by step, product by product, process by process. It's hard work- but worth it!
