Ayurvedic Home-made Deep Conditioner plus Huetiful Steamer = Goodness!!!!

Disclaimer: This is a treatment that works for my hair and I am documenting on my blog. What works for me may not work for you.

Okay onto this lovely treatment. I started playing with with Ayurvedic treatments about a month ago. I had heard great things about Ayurvedic hair care such as hair strength improvement, great conditioning properties and most importantly for me , builiding the hair body.

This past weekend, I deep treated my hair with a mixture of Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle mixed with Honey, Olive Oil, Aloe Vera Juice,  Brahmi, Hibiscus, and Bhringraj  Herbs.

This is the resultant mixture of the ingredients listed above.

These are some of the benefits of these herbs

Bhringraj - Treats hair loss, premature graying, and also acts as a conditioner

Brahmi - Strengthens hair at the roots, helps relieve dandruff, also purported to thicken hair

Hibiscus - Conditions hair, promotes healthy hair growth, prevents hair loss, thickens hair

Purchase from here

I am hooked on these things. My hair is visibly thicker and softer. Using the Huetiful Steamer with this treatment just puts the moisture in my hair to a level  it had never reached before. My hair was visibly conditioned after using this. I have to say that it is messy. and it can be hard to rinse out if you don't use honey. I found out that honey does the trick helping the herbs to rinse out of my hair easily. The aloe vera juice keeps the pH at a descent acidic range, close to the pH of hair

This is what my hair looks like after rinsing the treatment out.

What about you? Have you tried any Ayurvedic Treatment? What result have you gotten from using it? If so, which ones work best for your hair? If you are not into Ayurvedic Treatments, do you have a reason why? Please do share your thoughts which will be greatly appreciated.

  1. Sounds great! and your hair is looking ...fabulous!:)) take care:))

  2. That stuff looks kinda crazy when it's sitting there on your head, but after you rinse it out, your hair looks so beautiful. The color is vibrant is amazing.

  5. @Aloted
    Thanks Hun
I believe I used a tablespoo of each herb mentioned above plus half a cup of conditioner.
I usually use 2 tbs of Aloe vera juice for pH adjusment, a squirt of honey and 2 tbs of Olive oil.Mixed all together thorougly and applied to my hair. I let it sit in my hair for one hr , I then used the steamer for 20 minutes.

    Hope this helps!!

  6. Thanks for getting back to me. I await my powders so I can start the treatment.

    Now following :)

I will love to hear from you
