Styling Aids: Bobbies and Hair Pins

Hair and Bobby Pins are great styling aids for updos. However, purchasing hair pins from the local beauty supply store could be a very poor decision, as the pins sold in those stores are not durable. They usually rust and lose their rubber tips, which unfortunately can get caught in our hair when being taken out ( a recent experience I had).

If you have fine hair like me ( and people with thick hair as well),  I suggest that you be careful with your styling aids.  First and foremost, buy durable ones by Goody.  They have strong tips that never come off and the pins do not rust. The tips are also very gentle on the hair. They sell about 100 in a pack (hair pins) for less than $3.  They are known to last for a long time  according to well informed naturalists .

Natural Hair Care Tip: When using pins to style your hair, be very gentle with your hair and make sure you are not poking your scalp. Try not  to use pins in the same area over and over again as your hair will progressively thin out in that area. When pulling the pins out, do not yank it out from your hair, again, be very careful. Treat your hair as if it were a cashmere sweater.

Goody Bobby  and Hair pins can be purchased from Kimmaytube's Online Store, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Duane Reade, CVS, Stop and Shop and many more stores
